Yes, YOU, that love to read a story that blows your mind from page 1 one. YOU, that are looking for something so scary, you can't have the light off as you read it. YOU, who loves books that feel like movies when you read them. YOU, are the person who's going to love this book. Here we follow the life of Ultimo, a farm boy in rural Italy. He's been sold to a very mysterious man and assigned the role of cook in th house. He only cooks one special type of meat. Ultimo has no idea what animal it's from, but he's not allowed to eat the meat, he can only cook it. That rule has been hard to keep up. Eventually he tries the meat, that's when his life changed forever... This is a prequel to the first book in the series but can easily be read on its own and the end of this short book, is on a different level of amazing, you'll love it just as much as I do. Dear Reader, you won't believe this! A man is in a bathroom, sitting on the floor, eating a dead corpse. Tearing the body apart piece by piece... IT'S HIS SISTER... That and more gruesomeness in this book. This is a following to 2 books that asked the questions "HOW DO YOU GET A MAN TO EAT ANOTHER MAN?" and "WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A CANNIBAL" - very similar questions very similar answers. This book asks the question " WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU FOUND OUT SOMEONE YOU LOVE HAD BEEN EATEN" For the majority of the book we'll follow Clarissa, a young woman, living in a small village in rural Italy. She's almost engaged to the man of her dreams, in an urgent situation, he lets her and her siblings in his home. Clarissa didn't even realise that her sister and brother had disappeared, when she finds them, the discovery might be too much for her to handle (physically and mentally.) I can't even imagine seeing someone I love in pieces and then realise that someone chewed them up. This is one of those sort stories that just sticks with you for a long time. You are going to fly through this book, not only because it's short but also because it's so engaging, you'll forget time passes - if you have to go get your kids from school in about 10 minutes, don't start reading this book. I've warned you. From page 1, it's so addictive you'll forget you need to go get them. I suppose you'd rather not have long meetings with social support... Anyway, you can't miss this, especially if you';re into stuff that is edgy and that challenges the status quo about what's "normal."
