She comes to live at Woodcroft Manor and at twenty–one years old Lovisa finds her a husband. Jason Anderson of Laramie Wyoming where he has a fine horse and cattle ranch. What Lovisa does not say is that upon her wedding to Anderson Laverne will inherit a tidy sum of money, a fine dowry left by her parents for her. Upon arriving at Laramie, Laverne is greeted by Jason and all seems that all is going well.

That is until the owner of the Golden Horse decides she wants Jason for herself. She stages an argument that gives Laverne the wrong impression and she tells Jason she’s going back to Louisville and Woodcroft Manor. Nothing like having a little jealousy to spice up a romantic story. It’s a determined Jason who goes to Woodcroft Manor and states his plea to Lovisa Woodcroft to get Laverne back.
