About this series

The staff of Psi-Mechs, Inc. has seen better days. Although they defeated the worm monster, it left them unprepared for Mavet's assault on their Alaskan base, and the company was devastated, with most of its members killed, and its owner, Katherine Grimm, captured by the god-vampire.

Like the phoenix, though, the company has risen from the ashes of its demise under the guidance of Katharine's son, Donald, and the telekinetic, Ringer. New mechs have been built, and new pilots recruited to operate them. New psychic talent has been found. And Psi-Mechs, Inc. is now the proud owner of the best aircraft on the planet, courtesy of their resident tele-mechanic, Hank.

But Mavet has been busy, too. In addition to the multitude of vampires he has always controlled, alongside him now are legions of zombie-creating dark mages and a demon from the very depths of hell. All of them are bent on destroying Psi-Mechs, Inc. once and for all, and bringing their dark god, Non, to life.

Time is short for Psi-Mechs, Inc.'s pilots and psychics. They must recover Katherine Grimm and then find and stop Mavet before he ends the world—something they've never been able to do, even when they were at full strength. When faced with the end of the world, though, what other choice do they have?

"Eric has a firm command of both military SF and things that go bite in the night."  —Chuck Dixon, Award winning author of "Alien Legion" When things go bump in the night, the government calls Psi-Mechs, Inc. With a combination of technology and psi powers, they alone have the tools and training required to bump back. Geoff Ringer was a police detective, who never wanted to be more than that. Although he knew he had a telekinetic talent, it wasn't something he wanted anyone to know about. Even though his reticence made him a loner, he hid his power from his friends and colleagues. Using it also reminded him of that night, which he never wanted to think about again. When a werewolf attack in the police station forces him to expose his talent to save the lives of his colleagues, Ringer is forced to flee to Psi-Mechs to hide. The company is at war, though, and Ringer finds himself on the losing side of a battle to the death. Will Ringer and the Psi-Mechs team be able to defeat the ancient evil, or will it claim the Earth for all time? One thing is certain for Ringer—the time to hide is past. As Ringer learns to embrace his powers, only one question remains—will they be enough to turn the tide? Psi-Mech, Inc. Because things do go bump in the night.

"Eric has a firm command of both military SF and things that go bite in the night." —Chuck Dixon, Award winning author of "Alien Legion" The crew of Psi-Mechs, Inc. survived the Battle of New York, but their base was overrun, and many of their operators were killed. Forced to flee, the company has set up shop at their alternate headquarters in Alaska for its crews to lick their wounds and reconstitute their forces. But they don't have time to recover, as a new, more powerful monster is on the loose. One that can kill people with Psi powers, and make them his own. He has to be stopped before he grows so powerful there's nothing left to stop him. Meanwhile, the vampire god Mavet lurks in the wings, waiting for his opportunity to strike and finish off the company for good. Beset on all sides by powerful enemies, Ringer and the Psi-Mechs team have to decide whether to take on the devils they know or the new enemy that is more powerful than anything they've ever seen before. The nights are growing darker, and if Ringer and the Psi-Mechs, Inc. team don't succeed, darkness will fall on the world for good. Psi-Mech, Inc. Because things do go bump in the night.
