The Moon and the Stars Series

Elizabeth Edmonds is a normal, clumsy woman working at a small, normal bakery.  That is, until one night leads her on a chance encounter with a movie star manager.  The star himself wants to get to know her.  She isn't so sure, but after a terrifying encounter with an interesting beast, she decides there's something more going on and agrees to see him. Paul Lupe is a brooding movie star with a terrible secret.  He's able to transform into a monstrous wolf creature.  Worse, his career is on the down-slide and he needs a way to garner attention.  His manager comes up with a scheme to show off an ordinary woman.  They go in search of one, and she's more than he expected.  He feels drawn to her through a deeper connection than he cares to admit. Together they and their friends embark on a strange new adventure as a series of murders rock their city.  Something furry and monstrous is attacking reporters, and they have to figure out who and stop them before Paul's secret becomes more than an open scandal.  It becomes a dangerous fact for all of them.

Lilly Edmonds is now a Star, the official protector of the werewolf Paul Lupe, but she finds herself the one who needs protection as her friends and she arrive at an old theater.  The Imago Theatrum has its dark shadows and creaky floorboards, but she soon finds that more than just actors lurk in the wings.  Rumors of ghosts abound, and she finds herself haunted by a spirit who has less than good intentions toward her. The hauntings bring up the old past of the famous theater, and some of it isn't pleasant.  Lilly and her group discover that a famous actor disappeared after the performing the same play in which Paul finds himself playing the lead.    Strange noises knock on the walls and ghostly apparitions make themselves known.  The actors are spooked and the spooks are active. Desperate to save himself from ruin, the theater owner takes drastic measures to rid himself of the spook before opening night.  That involves bringing in outside help from familiar and unfamiliar sources, leading to a terrifying night where Lilly must use all her wit and courage to save herself and her friends from the ghost that haunts the theater, and her.

Lilly Edmonds has her work cut out for her as she finds herself protecting more than the werewolf Paul.  On a visit to her old friend, Baxter, she finds that the undead have risen against him and taken him as a slave.  Now her friends and she must find out the who and why of Baxter's problems before he grows a pair of fangs. Their search leads them across the city and into the nightlife of the Underground where the living dead have lively parties.  The trail grows as hot and cold as the zombie officer they discover, a man of impeccable duty but with the reporter Pippin on his tail. Together they find trouble and a deeper, more terrible secret than they could have imagined.  It's a secret that could expose the world to more than just blackmail, but to a vampiric hunger that won't be stopped, sunrise or no sunrise.

Lilly and her hairy friends are in for an equally hairy adventure when they're invited to a Midnight Party put on by a pair of well-connected movie moguls. Paul and she attend the gala, but the night is ruined when illness strikes. Worse, so does the werewolf and before they reach home Lilly has her hands full with trouble.   Lilly doesn't get a time to breath between problems when an unusual visitor comes calling in search of Paul's aid. The visitor doesn't take to the word 'no' and proceeds to attack the house. When the dust settles the parties learn that they're on the same side against a darkness known as Sin, a shadow formed by the unclean souls of unburied bodies.   When Lilly and the others try to find the source of the Sin their search leads them to a horrible truth. Now they have to contend with several new foes, and all without Paul by her side. Will they discover the truth in time, or will they all be swallowed by Sin?

Lilly's final adventure as her friends and she face off against a foe with an advantage: they know about Paul's dual life. That puts the group on the wrong foot and two steps behind as they try to piece together the puzzle of their enemy's hidden identity.   To make matters worse, the Helms have left behind some unfinished business, namely in the form of a film production. Rumors swirl around the managers of the film along with what the police discovered in the Helm mansion. They decide to infiltrate the set first in search of the truth, and discover traps and lies.   Those lies lead to their old stomping grounds on the Helm estate, but first they have to meet up with a certain young blogger who may need rescuing. Their adventures lead Lilly to a confrontation with their foe where she comes out worse than dead. Will her new circumstances for her to betray Paul, or can she muster the will to fight for the man she loves, and herself?
