About this series

Books 1-4 in the series all in one collection. Hi! I'm Delia. Short for Adelaide, which, in my opinion, is too old-fashioned sounding for a young business manager in charge of the poshest salon in Boca. I'm of mixed heritage, exactly what sort, I don't know but at least one side of my family has a musical/theatrical background. At a hundred plus years, my Great Aunt Edna is still performing in a local cabaret and doesn't look a day over fifty. We all suspect routine nips and tucks, but you'd never know. Her personal trainer and plastic surgeon are magicians. Not euphemistically…really magicians. I know because I've recently been dragged into Boca's dirty local secret. Sam, Edna's handsome husband is still doing character parts in independent films in Miami. His last role was a gun runner for Werewolves—not much of a box office success, but the subject hit a little too close to home for my comfort. Uncle Sam may not know it, but Boca is a city full of paranormal creatures just fitting in. Shifters, werewolves, witches, vampires. The list goes on. You name it...I never know what I'll bump into on a quiet afternoon or a dark night. Recently I applied for the very desirable management position at Luna de la Mar Salon and Spa. As it turns out, the fix was in. Just one glitch. They never expected a human to apply. I am not supposed to know about the inner operations of the town where most of the inhabitants aren't human. I've come to realize being human is sometimes an advantage. I keep things operating daily...until the full moon. Then insanity rules. Our employees go batsh$t crazy while I rearrange schedules like a juggler with a dozen balls in the air, and my personal life is turning into a catastrophe. I'm infatuated with two men, and I use that term loosely because at least one is a Werewolf.
The other is a Coast Guard Commander who looks like the god Thor, but I'm playing second fiddle to his career. Uncle Sam, his not mine, is impossible to compete with. My heart throb, Aelric, saved my life then ditched me before our first date. Frankie,' who's not technically my boss is totally hot for me. He claims I'm making too big a deal out of my principles, but I have scruples about mixing business with pleasure. And believe me, hubba hubba, Frankie is definitely that. Pleasure could be his middle name. Truly, our biggest obstacle to a happily ever after are his monthly pack requirements. Frankie is the alpha of the local Weres, and though I'm not usually selfish, I refuse to stand in line with a bunch of female werewolves vying for his attention.
I lead sing with a local beach band. Two things I love: the beach and music. There's one obstacle standing in my way for now. Due to recently being attacked by an unknown creature…I must get through the next few months without biting or killing anyone, because... Well it's a long story…

Magic is real. The fix is in.when Delia lands the hairdressing job of a lifetime. After one taste of faery nectar, the fae knowledge banks open to her. Who knew the town was filled with supernatural beings just fitting in? Frankie, her hot boss, is a Werewolf; the massage therapists are catshifters; her best friends are witches, and Delia likes being human. Her life is about to drastically change. ~~~~ A masters in business lands Delia the hairdressing job of a lifetime, but she quickly discovers reality is not what she's always believed. After one little taste of faery nectar, her John Hancock lands on a parchment agreeing to stay silent, and the secret knowledge of the town is suddenly hers. Being human in a town filled with supernatural beings really doesn't suck, especially after finding out magic is real.  Who knew managing a spa would change her life so drastically?  The upsides to her life are Aelric, a to die for Coast Guard Captain who reminds everyone of Thor; Frankie, an alpha werewolf boss who's called the heartthrob of South Florida; Garret, a mesmerizing vampire band manager who loves her voice and her music, and her best friends are witches.  But there are downsides, too. Danger lurks everywhere, and Delia senses someone stalking her. With her life in turmoil, she's experiencing a little tension. Frankie can't cut hair, and no one can remove the witch's spell on him. They'll need more than magic to pull off the charity hair show, and now her life is developing greater problems than just keeping secrets.  Her worst nightmare becomes reality when a vampire bite sets off a viral metamorphosis bringing about more than a change in attitude. Being human is all Delia has ever known. Discovering the world is not what it seemed isn't as bad as discovering neither is she. All the "big bads" in the world can't save her if Delia doesn't learn to defend herself. Maybe she can get a little magical help from her friends, and a straight answer from her family.  Hair of the WERE is part of the ongoing series AS THE CHAIR TURNS.

A Siren's Tail: Luna de la Mar Salon & Spa (As the Chair Turns Book 2) Delia Belaquoit was like any one of us—working hard, living her life, chasing her dreams, and achieving some modicum of success along the way. Great job, wonderful friends, singing in a band. She thought she'd hit the jackpot until everything she once believed in began to unravel...  Delia here... Hi, again! Magic does exist and people in Boca aren't what they seem. Shh! No one is supposed to know. When my former well-organized life blew up in my face, I decided I needed answers because the metamorphosis I'm undergoing isn't following any known pattern. Remember when I used to be a sun worshipper? Now I'm exhibiting symptoms I don't even want to think about. Turns out there are certain aspects of my family tree that're disrupting my humanity. Wait 'til I find my family. Just when I need answers, they disappear. Poof! Vanish. Except Edna, my great aunt. But she's not talking. Some freakish sea monster stole her voice.  Unbelievable! Right? They are all so in the doodoo doghouse for keeping everything from me.  Thankfully, my witch friends are charming me through my dilemma and our search for answers. Frankie, our alpha Werewolf boss, is doing his best to keep me safe. The guy is loyal to a fault, even if the wolf in him doesn't have a faithful bone in his body. So when Aelric, my on-again-off-again-not-really-a-boyfriend, asked him to protect me from sources unknown, Frankie jumped on it. I still think he has ulterior motives. I'm eventually planning a monogamous relationship, just not yet. Frankie wants to "turn" me, but the monthly waxing effort makes becoming one of his pack out of the question. Aelric, the handsome Coast Guard captain, did make a few serious romantic overtures and almost "sort of" proposed to me, but he hasn't managed to take me on a first date yet. Nor has he told me exactly what he is. Hope springs eternal. Because he did kiss me senseless, wowed me with an impressive unspeakable power move, then left me again. Now I'm alone with more questions. But I'm determined to get my own answers and find out where the threat to my family is coming from.  Oh there's more... It just gets better every day. Why don't you hang with me and see what's in the cards for this month? The supernatural salon and spa staff, as always, are here to help." #humor #fantasy #paranormal #shifter #vampires #faeries #witches #sirens #elves #aqua #sea #werewolves #hairstylists #werecats #sexy

Delia here...Welcome to my world of mayhem. This installment of the ongoing series about the Luna de la Mar Salon and Spa's annual employee holiday party on the corporate yacht, Magical Waves is crazy wild.  Murder and mayhem run rampant when there's an attempted mistletoe poisoning during dinner and a deadly stabbing before dessert. Kris, the happy little evergreen, gets a job on board as the Christmas tree. After the salad switch he reported Perry, the maître d', had been kissing the cook in the kitchen under the mistletoe when someone dropped the mistletoe berries in Delia's salad. The only witness, the Norwegian pine, is height challenged and claims he couldn't see anything above the suspect's knees. All would have been fine if that someone hadn't turned up dead, wearing Delia's dress. The body, found stabbed with the ice-carving knife, wasn't on the guest list. Delia knows who she is. None other than her great nemesis. But was Delia the one actually being targeted?
