About this series
From a retired mailman comes a heartfelt memory of what the USPS once was, and a commentary on what it has devolved into.
From a true service of the people, it has become a bureaucratic nightmare, changed from protecting citizens and policing neighborhoods, into a bullyiing organization intent on harrassment of their employees to fullifl the empty, service "empty" goals of their employer-
An employer bent only upon self- enrichment, with no goal left of serving the customer... NONE!
It is now all about the postal managers, dividing the spoils of what is left of the USPS- selling off the magnificent buildings that are left, and lining the bureaucrat's pockets with the legacy of the USPS, as they simultaneously destroy the SERVICE they signed on to protect!
Read what it USED to be, and perhaps we can restore the wonderful legacy that was The United States Postal Service!!

- Mailman Tales: Mailman Tales, #1
1
This is a collection of stories from my long career as a mailman. From the big city streets of Chicago, I transferred to the small, river town city of Kachuda, Wisconsin. It was there I wanted to make my life, raise my family, and put down roots and become part of a real community! I comment on the changing Postal Service as well, and how it has devolved, but the main thrust is the characters in this wonderful community in the Driftless Area of southwestern Wisconsin. Kind of a Postman James Herriot is what I am!
- Driftless Mailman: Mailman tales, #2
2
Jess Thornton is a mailman who long ago transferred from the big city rat race to the wonderful, small city of Kachuda, Wisconsin. These are the tales of his transition, as was the previous volume "Mailman Tales"; but it is also about his childhood, his upbringing and relations that all helped to bring him to the idyllic Driftless area!
- Milky and Soupy: Mailman tales, #3
3
Before Mailman Tales, there was... History! This is the history of the Thornton family in Wisconsin.
- Little Carolyn: Mailman tales
This story, for ages 6 to 11, will transfix modern readers of similar age to those in the story of little Carolyn and her brother and sisters in 1930's South Dakota. In fact, it should be of interest to all ages!
