    The Unseelie court ruled the world a long time ago before my time. Once we own the land and all who wander on it. We are a strong race full of pride. We live, love and laugh. Now, we are hidden in the shadows fearing for our lives. Every year we become less and less. Soon, very soon we will disappear from the world.
    It is our own fault our days are numbered. Desiring to live forever as the masters of the world, we used those from the Seelie court to do our bidding. When they started fighting back we created the human race to protect us so that we can continue our quest for infinite power and domination.
    Our response to the war also our undoing. The humans came with new diseases that are killing us faster than the Seelie Court. Soon the Seelie Court and the humans began to wed and we Unseelie lost our advantage. It was clear that our time was up as rules and the time of humans and the Seelie court has just started.
    That's when I was born. The third year of the rule of Queen Hekuba. I was one of the last pure Slaugh born. Like all Slaugh I drawn my magic from the living and the air. Before the war we kept the Jinns as our personal slaves. We tortured them and used their spirits to fuel our own magic. Now, we are fighting the Jinns and are losing. We both made our home in the fog and smoke high above the mountains. Neither of us will stop until we are all dead.

      Baldor is a battle hardened Troll Viscount for the Seelie court. Growing up during the worst of the Seelie War for Independence from the Unseelie court injured him inside and out. When he discovered his heart's desire is a Brownie from the Unseelie court he denied her right away and forced himself not to think of her ever again. As a Brownie and a natural healer and medic born during the war, the war and its casualties were often too much for Dinlas to endure. So when her heart's desire rejects her just for being an Unseelie she quickly agreed to help create a new dimension and escape the realities of the real world. So what happens when Baldor and Dinlas find themselves living on the same side of the dimensional gate? Will Baldor will have the strength to reject Dinlas again or this time will it be Dinlas doing the rejecting?

      The Seelie and Unseelie are at war and Gwennol a Sidhe is on the opposite side of her heart’s desire Carran the Slaugh...Both Gwennol and Carran have suffered more than most yet... Can they find peace in each other’s arms or will the war and the pressures of the outside world tear their hearts and souls apart? I cocked my head to the side and listened intently to the strange mutterings Carran was making. I was somewhat expecting him to pop his head back out from time to time, but he continued to remain under the covers and whine and cry about not hurting anyone. I was disappointed when I realized that I was standing stock still for more than an hour listening and watching. Finally, I decided that Carran was insane on top of being repulsive and disgusting and I walked back to my room and flopped down on my bed. I was going to have to decide what to do with him. It was foolish taking Carran away with me. His current behavior was simply another way of the fates and destiny showing me that my heart's desire was a lost cause. I should have asked Jaiden to put him and me out of our misery.
