      An atmospheric ghost story. After many years apart Tom runs into his old friend Lenard, who convinces him it would be fun to revisit their old party spot at The Hoodoos late at night. The gate to the park is closed but Lenard has a 4x4. They set up their music to echo down the canyon like they did when they were young and despite some misgivings Tom starts to have fun. Then the glowing red orb appears. Lenard panics all out of proportion to the threat and Tom decides to find out why. Pinnacles Provincial Park in Quesnel BC is a lot like the Hoodoos in this story and I actually did see a glowing red orb when I was partying there in the 1970's, and a few other small incidents in the story are autobiographical.

Within an hour of the time Tal wakes up in a strange bed with no memory of who he is, where he is, or how he came to be here on this strange, unknown world,, he is being pursued as he climbs endless stairs through featureless fog with Neola, the local teenage girl who took him off the Net and nursed him back to health.He climbs to find answers. She climbs to prove the legends her father told her are true. They both fight to protect her people.

      When Sedric got back to his castle after a disappointing third-place finish at the annual scientific symposium he found his servants dead and the growth tanks in his laboratory being smashed by the henchmen of his arch-rival, Dook. Despite serious setbacks, such as being killed, Sedric uses his science and his magic to fight back. A science fiction/fantasy adventure story.

    Rik Hunik was born in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, in 1957, and has lived his entire life in BC, except for a few summers in Alberta, and a few days in Washington State climbing rocks. He has lived in Ymir, Wells, Quesnel, Prince George, Quesnel, North Vancouver, Quesnel, Burnaby, North Delta, and Quesnel. I live with my wife Jo and a blue-eyed, white cat named Mister. I mostly build houses and shops to earn a living but I'm also a writer, poet, artist, photographer, role playing game designer and independent e-book publisher. I’ve written dozens of stories, including fantasy, horror, sword & sorcery, mystery, humor, erotica, and science fiction, frequently combining genres.
