Description

With NFL free agency a couple weeks away, the Seahawks appear to be making a strategic move in their negotiations with kicker Steve Hauschka. Adam and Brandan talk about what may be behind the move to sign Blair Walsh, a kicker well-known to all Seahawks fans for a miss that won a playoff game for Seattle. In other news from the past week, there a number of coaching changes to report. What should fans make of these changes to the staff? The guys discuss. General Manager John Schneider has put the team in an incredible position this off season with very few notable players on the 2017 list of free agents. Which of these players should we expect the team to re-sign in the coming weeks? And with cap casualties starting to drop from other rosters, which players should the Seahawks be taking a look at? Before getting into the second half of the show, the guys discuss the Seahawks red zone performance in the 2016 season. Throughout the season, the Seahawks were at the bottom of the scoring percentage on the road, but is that metric even a good indicator for team success? There's one metric that seems to be more effective at measuring success where the team scored very well on. And while we're on the topic of the red zone, we look at who were Russell Wilson's top targets inside the red zone this year. The answer may surprise you, while the player who had the most significant decline in that area may not. A special thanks to Episode 145 Executive Producer Gary Blum and an announcement of the number of new members of the flock we want to reach by the kickoff of the 2017 season. An email challenges the assertion of which Super Bowl loss was the worst and do better nods go out to an online flower dealer and a Bleacher Report scout who has come up with an incredibly confounding term. Better at life nods go out to the Patriots marketing department and the police in Polson, Montana, for a creative way to help meth users get help. iTunes | Google Play | Stitcher | TuneIn | Facebook | Twitter | RSS Or listen via our free Amazon app, Android app, or iOS app Call or text: 253-235-9041 Email: gohawks@seahawkerspodcast.com Support the show Get in the Flock!
