Description

Today’s conversation is with Ben Esgro, Co-Founder & Head of Research and Product Development at Elemental Formulations.
Ben has the perfect blend of experience and knowledge for today’s topic which is caffeine. With his Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, he is in a position to really dive into different drugs, substances and supplements.
Expect to learn how our bodies react to caffeine and how caffeine reacts within our bodies. Understanding this enables how you can employ caffeine for both physical performance and cognitive benefits.
This leads to Ben and I discussing sources, dosages, how our genetics influence our absorption and reaction, as well as practical implementations that we personally do.
One of the key areas Ben touches on is whether there is potential to become less sensitive to caffeine.
I loved learning about the different responses people have whether their genetic profile leads to them being a warrior or worrier and whether you are a fast or slow metaboliser of caffeine.
