Trailing 1-0 after the first and not looking too bad in the process, Philly surrendered 5 goals in the second period, including the final 2/3 of Juraj Slafkovsky’s first career hat trick.
Sam Ersson wasn’t bad to start and then was left completely hung out to dry before being pulled in favor of Ivan Fedotov after Montreal’s 5th goal and the Habs didn’t let up, netting one on Fedotov before the end of the middle frame.
