Cathy and Javier Bustos, a resilient Police Couple with over 45 years of combined law enforcement experience, trauma that they know all too well.
Their journey, portrayed in the eye-opening documentary "Officer Involved," sheds light on the challenges and traumas encountered by those dedicated to protecting and serving. Cathy and Javier,  Police Couple now retired law enforcement officers, weathered numerous critical incidents throughout their careers, both individually and as a united front. One pivotal moment etched in their memories occurred on August 18th, 2010, when they faced the heart-wrenching loss of a fellow officer and friend in a line-of-duty death at Cathy's police department in Cedar Park, TX.
The following month, on September 25th, 2010, Javier found himself in the throes of an Officer Involved Shooting in Austin, TX, further compounding the trauma. Police Couple Trauma, the couple was thrust into an unfamiliar world, grappling with the aftermath of these critical incidents and forced to adapt to what they termed the "new normal."
Recognizing the importance of seeking help in the aftermath of such traumatic events, Police Couple Trauma Critical Incidents Peer Support. Cathy and Javier emphasize the outdated notion of stoically "shaking it off." Drawing from their four decades of collective experience, Police Couple Talks Trauma, they've made it their mission to aid other first responders and their families in navigating the pervasive stress that accompanies critical incidents.

The Law Enforcement Talk Show goes to radio first. Therefore it is required that I use a clock for the length of segments. You've probably seen on television news interviews that they have a hard break. It's the same with radio. The stations have to be able to program in their commercials, news, weather, traffic reports etc. These are called avails, they are NOT Optional. Every guest knows about and is informed of the length of the segments and that I will interrupt them if needed to go to the break. The interviews are recorded and the guests know that the segments must be in a certain length and it is required and they get to tell their stories to millions of people for free. The bi-weekly podcast version of the syndicated Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show, with numerous affiliate US Radio Stations, broadcasting once a week to millions of people.  The show host,  John "Jay" Wiley, is a radio DJ and Retired Baltimore Police Sergeant.
