Description

Scott and I have a  great episode coming up and we want to give you a head's up about it.   We interviewed the inspiring activist and organizer Lisa Fithian and  talked about many of the issues confronting us right now, today.  Lisa's been on the front lines for a couple generations, from fighting against  the Reagan attacks on Central America, to helping organize workers,  working with the homeless, doing Mutual Aid in New Orleans after Katrina, supporting Gaza and so many other things.
We  talked to her about the role of mutual aid in resistance, and also the current wave of work stoppages and wildcats, and the potential for mass  action at this critical time in our lives. Importantly, we discussed how  these actions are being done for the commons, not just for individuals.    Lisa's also just published a memoir, "Shut it Down: Stories from a  Fierce, Loving Resistance" and we discussed that too.
