Description
Article III of the Constitution establishes the Supreme Court and the Constitutional framers also gave Congress the authority to establish the federal court system. This hierarchical structure of courts makes up the judicial branch of government that we still have today. All federal judges are appointed by the President and approved by the Senate. The Judges who oversee the federal courts are intended to be nonpartisan and shielded away from politics.Show NotesArticle III | Resources | Constitution Annotated | Congress.gov | Library of CongressDavis, J.
