Dr. Jef van den Hout, PDEng, has earned his Ph.D. with a focus on understanding and measuring team flow. He applies this knowledge to enhance team performance in professional settings. As the creator of Flow Concepts, Jef leads efforts to simplify complex team interactions and foster exceptional outcomes.

He’s an associate researcher with the Eindhoven University of Technology and the Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research spans several key areas: flow, team flow, optimal collaboration, sustainable performance, and challenge-based learning environments such as innovation ecosystems and professional learning communities.
