Description

William Holden was a legendary actor whose career started during the Golden Age of Hollywood, starring in such classics as Sunset Boulevard and Stalag 17. He was rich. He was famous. And he was a drunk! After his career fizzled, he drank himself into oblivion at his oceanfront Santa Monica condo. One night, after a few bottles of vodka, he slipped, fell, and died at the age of 63. Director Billy Wilder called it "a lousy fade-out of a great guy."
