I am wondering if my upset response in public was a normal response or not. my dad broke down and had a hard conversation with me about his concerns about my relationship. He told me he doesn't think I'm as happy as I should be and he doesn't think my bf will be respectful or handle my aging/health and inheritance with care. He feels he prioritizes his family way too much and that he has leftover misogynistic views from how he was raised that he hasn't worked on enough.
