This week we explore the journey so far of rising Australian pop star Toni Watson aka Tones And I. We follow Tones beginnings in the Mornington Peninsula, before she took the leap from her average day job in retail to chase her dream of busking on the streets of Melbourne and Byron Bay. We explore Tones first taste of success with the track Johnny Run Away and the moment the song Dance Monkey catapulted her into the spotlight around the world, breaking many records along the way. But it wouldn’t all be easy for Tones as she would face many obstacles including bullying via social media over her style of music, voice and appearance and the sudden realisation that she has a monster task of overcoming the dreaded one hit wonder tag.
