It was an Oppenheimer kind of night. Some called the 2024 Academy Awards broadcast a snooze, but the Ellises had a good time, especially with some of the more-inspired comedy bits. The Mulaneys and the Cenas and the Spielbergs (yeah!) and the Goslings were funny and very entertaining, plus we mostly agreed with---or at least respected---the choices of the winners.
