The man who would basically stop acting in films about 15 years later is just okay in this. He's joined in this sci-fi/comedy by veteran character actors like Tracey Walter and Harry Dean Stanton. The movie still touches Bev's Gen-X heart, despite a clunky middle section and an unsatisfying ending. This is a weird one, but you have to admire that everyone involved embraces that.
