In this episode of "Classic Stories and Fairy Tales" we read chapters 4 - 6 of Lewis Carroll's classic novel, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". In chapter 4 we will hear of Alice's encounter with the White Rabbit again. This time the White Rabbit mistakes her for his maid and orders her to find his fan and gloves. Alice finds the Rabbit's house and drinks from an unlabeled bottle, which causes her to grow to an enormous size. The Rabbit recruits two of his farmhands, Pat and Bill, to get Alice from his house.In chapter 5 we will meet a caterpillar on top of a mushroom. Alice who is distressed about her size tries to get answers from the caterpillar on a way to remedy her situation. Through vague conversation, Alice gets the answer she is looking for.Chapter 6 brings Alice's interaction with the Duchess, who is nursing a baby. The baby turns into a pig after the Duchess throws the baby to Alice. Alice also meets the Cheshire Cat, who magically appears and disappears on Alice.
