In this chapter, Mr. Du Bois brings great insight to the rise of Booker T. Washington. We get a glimpse of the support for Mr. Washington's actions during this difficult time in history. At the same time Mr. Du Bois shows that you can support someone's positive actions but still stand against other actions that bring more harm than good to a cause.
