Throughout the proceedings, she exhibited a highly animated demeanor, exclaiming "Oh my God!" at a certain juncture, vigorously shaking her head, and displaying a look of shock when a lawyer brought up an alleged scheme to take her own life. This court appearance follows the recent conviction of her son, Charlie Adelson, for the homicide of Dan Markel, who was previously married to Charlie's sister.
