Wednesday's game featured two moments where Russell Westbrook's destructive attitude was, at least in theory, on display. Twice he seemed either to ignore or try and separate himself from teammates, indicating that he's a toxic influence destined to sink the season for the Lakers. Except as it turns out, both moments had perfectly reasonable explanations, fairly well confirmed by available evidence. First, he appeared to be communicating with the bench while Patrick Beverley was waving teammates together. And Westbrook has moved away from the team huddle after pregame introductions for years.So the latter was the norm, and the former doesn't seem like a particularly big deal.All of it, though, reminds people that when it comes to Westbrook, many (many, many) fans are ready to vent some serious anger about his play, the trade, management and everything else connected to the deal.Anthony Davis, meanwhile, said he's ready to start at center if that's what the team needs to win, but he's not necessarily clamoring for it.
