The New Orleans Saints may have dropped their Monday night Miami Dolphins matchup, but their season still isn't over. The Saints have every intent on competing and still getting to the playoffs, and the road isn't an insurmountable one. The Saints were up against some challenging circumstances this week, most of which temporary, which leaves the door open for hope and optimism with two NFC South games left to go.Ian Book struggled in his debut, completing only 60% of passes and throwing a pick-six. But he, just like the Saints team as a whole, had the cards stacked against him from the outset. A makeshift offensive line that featured a player that hadn't taken an NFL snap since 2017, pass-catchers that have drawn concern all season, and a run game that couldn't get going. Evaluating Book off of this game is nearly futile, but some questions should be asked about the usage of Alvin Kamara.On a good note, rookie Pete Werner had a debut of his own as the defensive signal caller and performed remarkably well. He led the team in tackles, played really well in the run game and contributed in coverage as well.
