Description

Locked On Bulls is back with a fresh episode and Jordan Maly goes solo to recap last night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, 123-107. Jordan talks about the Bulls collapse during the second and third quarters that sparked a comeback for the Lakers down 20-points, LeBron James takeover, continuing problems with the defense, Lauri Markkanen's struggles in the month of March, and today's marker of 100 days as head coach for Jim Boylen. What started out as really good first quarter for the Chicago Bulls quickly went south as the Lakers climbed back from down as many as 20-points to secure a win last night. Jordan takes a look at how LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma were able to lead the Lakers surge through the second and third quarters and why the Bulls were historically bad again last night. Jordan discusses the lack of depth on the bench as a reason for the recent blown leads, how the starters are unable to play all 48-minutes, the lack of awareness on the defensive side of the ball, and the struggles from other primary scorers in the absence of Zach LaVine.Jordan hits on some positives from this game as well including one of the best games from Kris Dunn in over two months. Jordan talks about Otto Porter Jr.'s ability to space the floor, get out and run in transition, and also the ability to throw lob passes. Jordan questions whether or not Jim Boylen will be able to make adjustments to staggering his starters to combat the Bulls bench giving up leads early on and how the team can prevent third quarter turmoil. Jordan also discusses a bizarre Wayne Selden Jr. ejection that occurred. To wrap up the show, today marks 100 days as head coach of the Chicago Bulls for Jim Boylen. Jordan splits the 45 games into two parts and looks at how the Bulls have played. Has Boylen improved since taking over back in December? Has Boylen been able to live up to what he wanted to see improved since he was given the job? How are Bulls fans feeling about Jim Boylen with only a few weeks left in the season? Jordan dives into the team stats in both stretches, talks about what it might mean for the offseason, some positives, some negatives, some concerns, and what the future might hold for Boylen and the Bulls.
