Description

Tom Gazzola recaps all the action that happened between the Red Wings and Oilers down at Rogers Place! Matt Kassian joins the show to give his insight on the game!   The Oilers exited the first period up 2-1 with Ceci's first goal since the second game of last year and Draisaitl's 25th of the season.   Debrincat scored for the Red Wings on the powerplay and Ville Husso stepped out of the game for injury under 10 minutes into the game. Alex Lyon steps in after starting 15 of the last 16 games.   Heading into the second period, the Oilers were able to make it 3-1 but they spotted the Red Wings 2 goals to tie it at 3 a piece. The Red Wings scored off the stick of Patrick Kane and Joe Veleno notching his 10th of the season. For the Oilers, Bouchard hit the twine and also rung one off the post in the dying seconds of the middle frame.   Going into the third period the Oilers were able to get a goal from Nugent-Hopkins and Holloway. Kane and Hyman break through to make it 7-3 but David Perron answers back with the tip to make it 7-4. After that Nuge scores his second of the game to make it 8-4.   McDavid had 6 assists in the game, which is the first time he's ever done that in his career. Bouchard had a goal and 2 apples, Ceci had two points and Nurse had 2 apples.   The Oilers play their next game against the Blues down in St. Louis at 6:00 p.m. Edmonton time.
