Description

Chip Kelly left UCLA yesterday as the head coach, and now the Bruins have begun a national coaching search. In light of that, we brought on Ken Graiwer of Men of Westwood to do a post-mortem on Chip Kelly's failures in NIL fundraising, and also to discuss what the new coach will need to bring to the table in terms of his support of NIL.
We also discussed the state of the NIL landscape in the Big Ten, and what UCLA will need to do to become competitive. In that vein, we also explored whether the Bruins should prioritize high school recruiting or transfer portal recruiting given the competitive realities for UCLA fundraising.
There are many calls to action throughout the podcast for fans to give to NIL. BRO's contributed around $20,000 in the last day through the BRO form, with more coming in through the Men of Westwood forms. Continuing to give is the best way that fans can show their support for the program and present the best possible picture for a new head coach.
