Yuuhi Amamiya is a misanthropic college student who wakes up one day to a talking lizard telling him that he is a Beast Knight; a magical warrior destined to protect the Princess and help her stop the evil Mage from destroying the Earth. Not wanting to be bothered with such nonsense, Yuuhi ignores him until the Princess finds him, and reveals herself to be his neighbor Samidare Asahina, and that she aims to stop the Mage from destroying the world so that she can destroy it herself. Immediately switching sides, Yuuhi swears his fealty to this insanity, and dedicates his life to bringing about the end of days.
