She comes to APS with 17 years of non-profit executive experience. As CXO, Hassana oversees communications, marketing, and membership engagement activities to deliver a consistent and compelling experience to members and the global physics community.  A self-described “scientist with a heart,” Hassana has a B.S. in Microbiology from North Carolina State University and is bilingual in Spanish and English.
