Description

Host Andrea Kremer takes us back to 1999 when NFL Films Steve Sabol interviewed Hall of Famer Jim Brown. Jim looks back at his days of playing in the NFL and the relationships he built with those around him. Steve explores why Jim almost quit football and all of the job offers he received before playing in the NFL. Jim explains his belief of not going out of bounds and why QB's shouldn't slide to avoid being hit. Jim also never drank water during games and tells Steve why he thought it affected his conditioning and mindset while playing. Jim remembers being an advocate for his teammates and reveals what he hoped those teammates would say about Jim's playing days. Join us for Part 2 next week when we look at Jim's life after the NFL as an actor and a political advocate. The Tales from the Vault podcast is part of the NFL Podcast Network.
