On today’s episode we speak with Dyana Limon-Mercado, Travis County Democratic Party Chair. Elected in November 2018, she is the party’s first Hispanic chair.
Dyana and Bingham Group CEO A.J. Bingham discuss her state and local policy priorities for 2019, and ahead to the 2020 elections. She also discusses the multiple constituencies making up the party, and ways political novices can engage in the process.
Dyana is also currently the Deputy Executive Director for Planned Parenthood Texas Votes. She was is native Austinite attended Austin ISD public schools. She was the first in her family to graduate college and earned a BBA from Texas State University and an MBA from UT-San Antonio.
