Three time C.O.W.S. guest and the George A. Weiss University Professor of Law & Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania ventured across the continent to give a presentation at Seattle’s University of Washington. Her talk is entitled: “The Urgency of Reproductive Justice.” Roberts included the Tennessee arrest of Bianca Clayborne and Deonte Williams. Their five children were snatched after the attempted parents were accused of illegal possession of cannabis. She also referenced the Ohio persecution of Brittany Watts, where a black attempted mother may be charged for defiling a corpse following the miscarriage of her child.
