Description

In this second episode of a two part installment, I look at George Friedrich Wilhelm Hegel and explore how the history of consciousness mirrors history in general tracing the development of how consciousness might evolve. According to Hegel, we can measure real historical process and I look at how the changing of the collection of citizens' consciousness pushes this historical development along. I rely heavily on Peter Singer's book on Hegel. Hegel is difficult but Singer makes him easier particularly for those in the analytic tradition.

A self-indulgent vanity project of a man with a microphone in hand, each episode explores a philosophical theme hopefully with a certain degree of accuracy. I try to keep it pretty light. More philosophy nerd than academic, it sprung out of free time during the pandemic. @KMaca5
