Description

Due to Covid, 1 in 5 homes in Chicago don’t have access to broadband internet.
On some blocks, it can be 1 in 2 houses disconnected.
In this episode we hear from Daniel Anello, CEO of Kids First Chicago, who was able to champion the $50M initiative ‘Chicago Connect’ which brought broadband to 35,000 students in need, and work with parents and school districts to shape education policy to better support families.

Greater Than Zero Percent (GTZP) is 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to find people and organizations that are changing the world and sharing their stories. We have weekly episodes highlighting a new non-profit and monthly episodes talking to for-profit leaders about giving back and corporate social responsibility (CSR). We believe that however big or small of a positive impact you have, every bit counts. As long as you are adding greater than zero percent, the momentum you build is already changing the world.
