She attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed an internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in NJ.Dr. Learn remained in general practice for many years before becoming a board-certified veterinary behaviorist and the Chief of Clinical Behavioral Medicine at the Animal Behavior Wellness Center in Richmond VA.Dr. Learn has contributed to veterinary textbooks, journal articles, and blogs. She has also received the prestigious RK Anderson Resident Achievement Award from the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists for outstanding research in the field of applied animal behavior.
