The College Football Playoff selection committee released its second set of rankings for the 2023 season on Tuesday. Andy and On3 national writer Jesse Simonton break them down. Plus, where should James Madison fit into the picture? The Dukes -- who can't play in a bowl because they are in the second year of a two-year transition period between the FCS and the FBS -- sent a letter to the NCAA asking to deemed bowl eligible this season. 

N.C. State sophomore quarterback MJ Morris, who led the Wolfpack to a 3-1 record the past four games, has decided to redshirt the remainder of the 2023 season. Ethan McDowell of On3's The Wolfpacker explains what happened.
