On3 national writer Jesse Simonton joins Andy to debate which teams have a real chance to win the 2024 college football national title. Jesse wrote a column this week detailing which teams had real chances to be the first champion to emerge from a 12-team College Football Playoff.

That format matters a lot. A team now must win at least three and possibly four consecutive games against the best of the best to claim the national title. Who is deep enough to survive that gauntlet? But Andy wonders if any team is deep enough in the transfer portal era to avoid a surprise loss.

Next, Spencer Holbrook of On3’s Lettermen Row joins to talk Ohio State as the Buckeyes — one of the teams that definitely belong on the can-win-the-national-title-list — continue spring practice. This is the most loaded Ohio State roster in years, but how do the pieces fit together? Is Kansas State transfer Will Howard definitely QB1, or does Devin Brown still have a chance?
