Eva Ariel Binder is among the youngest cast members to join AppleTV+'s new show, Dear Edward. Binder plays Shay, who becomes friends with Edward after he is the sole survivor of a plane crash. Leave it to Jason Katims to bring together a mix between humanity, love, and tragedy. The show is exceptionally moving and follows the family members of those left behind, along with the survivor's guilt that Edward carries. Binder shows her acting ability as the standoff-ish neighbor to eventually his friend. Binder talks about what it was like getting the part, who she thinks Shay is, and why she needs to be in Edwards's life.

Synopsis:
“Dear Edward,” tells the story of Edward Adler (played by Colin O’Brien), a 12-year-old boy who survives a devastating commercial plane crash that kills every other passenger on the flight, including his family. As Edward and others worldwide are affected by the tragedy and try to make sense of life after the crash, unexpected friendships, romances, and communities are formed. “Dear Edward” stars Emmy nominee Connie Britton, and SAG Award winner Taylor Schilling and introduces newcomer Colin O'Brien.
