Description

First day of November already and the first frost occurring a little bit later than usual in the northeast but just about in time across the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern states. Over the Great Lakes there were areas of snow on Tuesday and then accounted to traces up to as much as four inches mostly the heaviest snow to the east and southeast of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. More importantly , that represents the cold air moving down out of Canada the first strong outbreak that we've seen this season. In stark contrast to the very warm weather last week, we're going to be chilling down for the next several days but generally dry for the weekend. The weather is not going to be a major problem this weekend. The major airline hubs except for Seattle where an series of strong north Pacific  lows will be starting to move in with strong winds and heavy rains Wednesday through Thursday in the Pacific NW.
