The Boston Bruins passed their first test against an Eastern Conference opponent, beating the upstart Detroit Red Wings 4-1.
David Pastrnak scored his second penalty shot goal of the season to help overcome a strong third period from Detroit, and capped it with an empty netter.
Matt Poitras had his point streak ended, but he had some monster shifts that SHOULD seal his fate as a full time Bruin this season. Boston will announce a decision on whether he's going back to junior following tonight's game against the Florida Panthers.
