In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the promotion of Hardy Haman Aktell to the big team the Capitals. Aktell is a tough rugged two-way defenseman that has a scoring element to his game. The Caps need a jump start to their lack luster start. I think Aktell at least in part is the answer to that problem. Later Dan talks about the trade chatter with NHL "experts" linking Conor Garland as the Caps being a good landing spot for him. He's got a bit of snarl to his game and is called a pest. He could address the top 6 issues Brian Maclellan spoke of in the summer. In the last segment Dan talks about the Capitals home red jersey's and how their ranked as one of the worst in the league.
