Description

This Saturday's Let's Talk Trains will be hosted by Bob & Elizabeth Alkire. You may remember their show about a month ago about the Cascadia Corridor and the efforts to link Eugene Oregon with Vancouver British Columbia by high-speed rail. Nov 7 is the anniversary of the driving of the final spike that united Canada by rail, so Elizabeth, who was born in Canada, has a special commemoration for it.

We are also entering the holiday season and there are lots of special train rides. Bob will give us the up-to-date information on these events. If you have a favorite holiday ride, please call in with the details. The show number is 646.716.7106. To join the chat room (which is open prior to show time), browse to www-dot-railradio-dot-com-slash-lttchat.

Bob will be doing a segemnt on train songs that will cover songs that are about trains and songs that have some kind of connection to trains in the lyrics. He will discuss all genres of music from folk, to rock, to country, to jazz, to Big Band as well as movies and Broadway.

There are many openings in the LTT calendar for hosting shows, including November 14. Please help make Let's Talk Trains informative and diverse in content. An email to ltt-at-railradio-dot-com is how to start. You will receive well-illustrated and helpful guides, advice and connections to other LTT Team members. This show is of, by and for us, fans of trains. You can help by sharing your knowledge, points of view and experience with the rest of us. Again, start by emailing to ltt-at-railradio-dot-com.
