Since the NHL is about to hit its annual NHL All-Star Game pause, this is a short fantasy hockey week. Even more reason to try and capitalize on some good situations on the waiver wire and add some key fantasy hockey pieces to your team for the stretch run ahead of the fantasy playoffs.

The targets you need to be considering for Week 17 in the fantasy hockey world include Ottawa Senators goalie Anton Forsberg and newly-promoted rookie Ridly Greig who is not getting an amazing opportunity filling in on the second line between Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux. If you need a fill in for your goalie roster that's not Forsberg, consider Sam Montembault of the Montreal Canadiens who is getting peppered with shots of late but putting up good peripheral numbers despite not getting wins.

Both Flip and Steele serve up a triple-dip of bets for the St. Louis Blues visiting the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night with both guys expecting a big-time bounce-back performance from the Jets after getting ripped by head coach Bowness on the weekend. Also consider Owen Tippett of Philadelphia Flyers and Alex Kerfoot for the Toronto Maple Leafs as he fills in for Auston Matthews in the Toronto top-six forward group.
