Description
You guys know me well enough at this point to know my social justice warrior conversations are never going to go away, right?
I stumbled upon a great article this week (linked below) about celebrating holidays in the classroom, and I found myself reflecting a LOT about biases and power dynamics and cultural assumptions in my own troop leadership experience...
And since it's HANUKKAH, and officially December, I thought this would be the perfect time of year to tackle a hard conversation on this podcast... which is all about Christmas and Girl Scouts.
I don't personally feel like any of the things I share in conversations like this should be divisive, but... I have found that sometimes it can be really triggering for people. I have to question if maybe there are ways I could do better when I explore topics like this one. If you have thoughts, opinions, feelings, whether they are supportive (thanks so much for this, you've really made me think, keep it coming!) or critical (here's some advice, you said x and it came across y... these conversations are important, but here's how you could improve...), I want to hear it! And I mean that. girlscoutpodcast@gmail.com
