Description

Filipinos have been living in the Windy City since at least the early 1900s. From the first wave of men coming from the Philippines to the U.S. to forming a community in Chicago to the second wave of Filipino women arriving, there’s a rich history of Filipinos in the Windy City.

Reset celebrates Filipino American History Month by talking about the history of Filipinos in the city and learning about an upcoming exhibit featuring the archived photos of the community from the mid 1900s with Ruben Salazar and Ashley Dequilla of the Filipino American Historical Society of Chicago.
