The Michigan Wolverines aim to keep the Little Brown Jug when they roll into the Twin Cities to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers Saturday. Jim Harbaugh and his football team are on auto-pilot and are getting stronger each week. They are strong in every facet of the game and can play any style of football. Meanwhile, PJ Fleck and his Minnesota Gophers have their strengths and weaknesses. They have a strong running game and a nice secondary on defense. However, it probably won't be enough to stop Michigan Wolverines quarterback JJ McCarthy and his team from keeping the Little Brown Jug. 
The Little Brown Jug is an old water container that Michigan purchased before the 1903 meeting between these schools. They left it behind that year and the Gophers athletic department kept it until the next meeting. That is when they decided to use it as a traveling trophy for every future meeting. Listen to the Locked on Big 10 podcast for more details on how this historic award came to be!

Also, this week brought good news for Big 10 basketball fans as the Indiana Hoosiers and Kentucky Wildcats finally agreed to resume their rivalry. Both schools will resume play in 2025. Indiana Hoosiers coach Mike Woodson says he's been talking to Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari a long time to get this done.
