Iowa Hawkeyes football coach Kirk Ferentz is hiring former Western Michigan head coach Tim Lester as his new offensive coordinator. We are not sure Lester's offense will be much better than former coordinator Brian Ferentz's. We will explain why. It has to do with talent and the fact that Lester has not produced an offensive season to hang his resume on. 
And don't get us wrong! Because we LOVE Iowa football. Their march toward a ten win season and a place in the Big 10 Championship was one of the best stories of 2023.
