In this episode of Stories Behind the Songs, Chris sits down with Ryan Griffin. Born and raised in Florida, Ryan moved to Nashville when he was just 18 to pursue writing his own music. Starting his career as Jason Aldean’s tour manager, he decided to step into the songwriting world. Ryan will take us through his musical journey, highlighting the story behind co-writing with Kelsea Ballerini, Josh Kerr and Jason Duke from his perspective. He also talks about his experience getting signed to labels, tasting the highs of the music industry, and the tough moments of being dropped. 
You’ll also hear how he crossed paths with Jay Demarcus, who you might know from Rascal Flatts. Jay saw something special in Ryan and brought him onto his Christian label, "Red Street Records," which ended up being a perfect fit for country artists like Ryan Griffin. 
Ryan also talks his newest EP, "Phases," which showcases his evolution as an artist and dedication to his craft. We also dive into Ryan's latest single, "Heart to Break” and you’ll even hear Ryan play a portion of it!
