Mindi Smith is the founder and creative director of The Little Red Planet in Sag Harbor (an ethically curated children's boutique). She was a fashion editor and stylist for 20 plus years beforehand and wanted to "shift the way we shop" and support designers doing the right things. She is a single mother to her 17 year old daughter Mars and 9 year old Gt Pyr, Max. She and her daughter live full time in Sag Harbor after relocating from Brooklyn during Covid in 2020.
